Vietnamese Spring Rolls

This is a very simple dish, which we will have this almost once a week for lunch!! It's Ade's favorite food and I'm glad that she is well trained to eat healthy food at her young age!

These were wrapped by her for me...
Teriyaki chicken on the electric grill.... The ingredients are: I will only use vegetables that Ade loves, they are as pictures shown below; basil leaves (must have alot!! these are fresh from our garden), shredded carrot, shredded cucumber & mee hoon.

lettuce, teriyaki chicken & bean sprouts.
Most import ingredient: rice wrappers... ( my nephew who travels to Vietnam often, will always remember getting these for me. Tks CG, hehe stock running low already!!)

Finally, instead of the normal sauce, we preferred our own version of chili sauce which we use Maggie Thai chili sos, add some lemon juice to dilute it then add some sugar.

Simple and healthy Spring Rolls!!

Annie, this was one of my favorite dish when I visited Vietnam last year, bought few pack and now left only half pack. But I never try to prepare this way, must quickly try this. By the way, could you share the recipe of the Teriyaki chicken.

Sonia, the Teriyaki chicken is very easy to prepare. I have a small "grilling machine". See it here: http://www.amazon.com/George-Foreman-Reducing-Grilling-Machine/dp/B000ALASSS It is very useful. I just put in my boneless chicken drumstick, grill until it's cooked then brush the teriyaki sauce on the chicken. I did the same for teriyaki fish too!!

Hi Sonia, oh you are going to HCM! Good, good, then you get for me. Just for your information, there are 2 sizes. So you get for me 1 pack each. Tks ya.

I thought only one size, okay, then I need to really have a detail look in the supermarket. Any brand you prefer?

Sonia, there are 2 sizes, the one that I used here is smaller size. The bigger size is easier to wrap. No particular brand, but must make sure that they are properly sealed and packed. Tks ya.
